Invoking eagle wings soaring over Navajo plains, this necklace is handmade in collaboration with Great Dame in Athens, GA.

Turquoise has been revered since ancient times as a symbol of great wealth, wisdom and protection and has a long history of use by kings, shamans and warriors. The name of this blue-green mineral is derived from French, meaning “Turkish stone”. Associated with the fifth/throat chakra, this necklace rests near the collar bone to activate clear communication.

Hematite is a red oxide of iron. The term hematite is derived from the Greek word “haima” meaning blood. In ancient times, it was associated with the Greek God of War, Ares and the Roman God of War, Mars. The Romans adorned themselves with hematite and used the mineral to paint their faces. This provided strength and made them fearless and invincible. Energetically, hematite is associated with the first/root chakra and is outstanding at grounding excess energy and acts as a stabilizing force. It works on healing and regenerating the forces related to blood circulation. Authentic hematite is magnetic.
